I Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
Typically, what Paul is saying is we can know the bible inside and out, be able to bring forth the word of God, have great faith, but without love it means nothing. If you’re witnessing and all you can think about is how the person looks or smells, there is no love.
Would you help a person who is wearing ragged clothes and smells and has yellowed teeth or no teeth as readily as you might help someone in clean fresh clothes who looks and smells good?
Love is the key.
What is our motivation? Are we doing good to be praised by men? If love is the motivation, the glory goes to God, where it belongs.
