I John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
This was written by John (disputed) the apostle. He spent three years with others following Jesus, walking with him, observing him, learning from him. He was sure that Jesus was sent from His Father to be the promised Messiah, the Saviour. He would have watched Jesus die that horrible death on the cross, and then see Him after He rose again. John had even run to the tomb and looked in. He had no doubts as to where Jesus came from and His purpose in coming to earth.
