Memory Verse ~ Luke 2:10 & 11

Our memory verse this week. JOY. Luke 2:10-11. And the angel said unto them, Fear not; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all peopleby. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
Not only joy, but Great Joy! The dictionary says joy-a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. Most babies bring joy to their parents. This baby was special – foretold hundreds of years before His birth. Not just another baby, but the promised Messiah.
Parents often wonder what their child will grow up to be.

Joseph and Mary knew He was to be the Savior, but I doubt they knew all it would mean. Savior means one who saves from destruction or danger.
Jesus was born to save us from our sins. What JOY!
