I Corinthians 13:6 – August Memory Verse

I Corinthians 13:6. rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Rejoice – a feeling of great happiness

Love does not laugh at sin. There should be no happiness in us when we sin or see others sin. We should not spur others on to do something sinful, or laugh when they get away with it. (Which God sees even if no one else does.- so you get away with nothing). We need to repent immediately.
Have you ever been with somebody who wants to try to get away with something – like telling a ‘little white lie’ to their parents or trying to take an apple or candy bar from a store? What did you do? Agree with them or try to reason with them as to why it’s wrong? Sin is sin. James 4:17, John 8:34

A true follower of Jesus is happy when truth is followed. (John 8 :32;
John 16:13A) I hated when my children lied to me. They quickly learned to tell the truth. Choose life – which is truth. Not death – which is lies. Deuteronomy 30:19.
