We are reviewing these scriptures this week. Have you taken the time to memorize them? It’s not too late to try. David, the psalmist, is calling on God to hear and answer him. From past experience he knows that God is the answer. He can turn to God when he’s overwhelmed and he won’t be turned away.
God is his shelter in the storm, a Rock he can cling to. Where do we turn when we are overwhelmed and hurting? Do we get on the phone and call a trusted friend? Do we think about giving up? Do we eat a snack or play some game or run or —–(fill in the blank). None of those will satisfy like talking to God and getting into His Word. Let’s train ourselves to go to God first! He loves us with an everlasting love.
