October 8 memory verse

Roman’s 3:10. as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.

Righteous-morally right or justifiable; virtuous;

How is your walk with Jesus today? Do you think you’re doing fairly well? Is your answer, well I tithe, read my Bible, go to church, I’m nice to my spouse and kids, or my brothers and sisters, etc., I help out at church, sing in the choir. Im doing ok. But what does this verse say?
Let’s look at some other verses. Psalm 14:3 They are all gone aside, they have all together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psalm 53:3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable;
There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
ALL of these verses say there is none that doeth good, no, not one! And Mark says only Jesus is good. It reminds me of the verse that says all our righteousness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6)
We measure ourselves by our standards and think we’re doing good. I’m better than
who’s not doing_____
.
But we need to listen to what God says.
I’m guilty. Guilty of not obeying God’s word. Guilty of putting other things before God. Guilty of wanting my own way. Guilty of not doing what I should and doing something else. In other words, guilty of sin. Let’s not compare ourselves to others, but let Jesus be our example. How do I measure up? How do you measure up?

Roman’s 12:3A For I say, through the grace given unto me, that every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think;

We’re only righteous because of the blood of Jesus!
