Proverbs 3:5 and 6

Proverbs 3:5,6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.

These are some of my favorite verses. There is nothing in ourselves to trust in. And the small knowledge we have will lead us into trouble without God. We need Him to guide us and show us which way to go. Have you ever been in the car and sure you knew where you were going, but ended up lost? It’s easier now with GPS, but that still isn’t foolproof. We were going to a wedding in Waukesha several years back. My son had the GPS on and the address in correctly. It took us to the middle of the road – no place on either side of the road to enter. We did find what we needed, but were delayed. What was supposed to help us did not! But God will direct us into the right path. Sometimes it feels like He is making a mistake, but trust Him. He has our best interest at heart.
It is always best to trust our Savior. We must want to follow Him. He never forces us. He makes the first footprints, so we can follow in His steps. Keep these verses in your heart, they will guide you all your days.
